You are invited to come, watch and question the WoW Grand Final candidates, who have been selected, at random to attempt to defend the following positions on Thursday 23rd April at 6pm in the Courtroom:
That men make better university lecturers than women – Simran Srinivasan
That the war against child labour has truly been lost – Tayla Robinson
That it is more socially acceptable for men to be with younger women, but not vice versa – Mervin Ojukwu
That Game of Thrones is simply TV ‘crack cocaine’ – Conor Eccleston
That money is the only true motivator in the workplace – Motunrayo Olowu
That we are not living in a democracy- Katie Emms
That men have a quasi ‘menstrual cycle’ – Jason Tang
That the internet has done more harm than good – Faisal Ul Din
That arranged marriages work better than other marriages – Daniel Matticoli
That ‘trickle-down’ economics does not work – Kiranpreet Kaur
That nice guys finish last – Travis Taylor
There will be a prize-giving reception with free buffet/drinks, straight afterwards at 8pm in the law building atrium.
NB. At the reception there will also be the presentation of the mooting cup, by last year’s winners Katie Emms and Sam Yeates, to this year’s winners of the UH moot final (please note that you are all invited to watch the moot final which is in the Courtroom on the day before the WoW Grand Final: Wednesday 22nd April at 6pm).
